Description of the product

Seiko presents modern reinterpretations of three legendary diving
watches from the 1960s and 1970s when they were chosen by adventurers
and researchers on expeditions to the North and South Poles. These
watches are inspired by the glaciers these pioneers saw and which shaped
the land and seascapes of the Arctic and Antarctic. Each has a dial that
evokes a different shade of glacial ice, from deep blue to white. This
modern reinterpretation of the 1968 watch features a light blue dial and
dark blue bezel.
It is powered by the tried and trusted caliber 6R35 which offers a power
reserve of 70 hours. It is water resistant to 200 meters and comes with
a steel bracelet with safety clasps and extenders. The case is super
hard coated and the crystal is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating
on the inner surface to ensure high readability from all angles. All
twelve indices are generously coated with Lumibrite, as are the hands,
to maximize readability in the dark.
This watch joins the Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean series. This program
provides financial and other support to marine charities chosen by
Seiko.
