It is a modern reinterpretation of the 1968 Diver watch. The original
1968 model was Japan's first Diver watch created by Seiko to have a
monobloc case and a 36,000 beat caliber. The success of the 1968 model
laid the foundation for the development of Diver watches for the next
sixty years.

This watch is powered by the new caliber 6R54 and is Seiko's first
mechanical diver's watch with GMT functionality. The bracelet sits
comfortably on the wrist thanks to its low center of gravity and short
links. It has a three-day power reserve and a scratch-resistant ceramic
bezel, and is water-resistant to 200 meters. The GMT hand can be set
independently in one-hour increments without interrupting the hour-of-
day hands and allows the user to see, at a glance, the time in a second
time zone.
